The Photographer

Hi! I'm Shane, I have over a decade of experience in photography. My journey is rooted in Ashland, Kentucky, where I have resided for the majority of my life. Throughout my time, I have developed a genuine passion for portraiture and event photography, while also establishing a commendable track record in a wide array of photography genres.

This passion for taking photos came from my father, who was an avid hobbyist photographer. I grew up surrounded by family and friends taking pictures of everyday life happening around them, and a camera soon fell into my hands.

I had an interest in landscape photography for a long while, but in 2021 I was asked by a neighbor to do her Prom photos. Incredibly nervous and confused, I accepted the gig. And it went SO well! I was hooked instantly and started picking up as much portraiture work as I could! In 2022 I was asked by a coworker to shoot his wedding, and as before, it went off without a hitch!

The Husband

I have a beautiful wife, Allie, who is also starting her journey into photography. We met in 2016 and dated for less than two years before I popped the question! We had a long engagement before finally saying our vowels in September of 2020, right at the peak of the pandemic. We didn't mind, though, because having a small, backyard wedding was our intention anyway.

My Work

In addition to portraits and weddings, I am the event photographer for our town's tourism office, Visit AKY, which has been a tremendous pleasure. Working with such a great group of people with a common goal has led to many opportunities for me in the community. Thanks to their help I have gotten in the door of many places that may have otherwise been shut. 

Since starting my journey with them, I have been able to broaden the type of work that I do and expanded my portfolio to include artists like Willie Nelson, Tyler Childers, and Ricky Skaggs, just to name a few.
